This 4 hour intensive and practical course is designed to give a basic understanding and knowledge of shotgun and shooting safety. It can be taken in small groups or as an individual and can, if required, incorporate the BASC safe shot assessment. Initially designed with the live quarry shooter in mind, the Safe Shot assessment gives an overview of the correct use and management of a shotgun.

 For example - one of the principal causes of accidental shootings is the failure to get over gates and fences safely. But how should you do it safely, especially if you are on your own? This is one of the key practical elements in the Safe Shot award. Since the scheme’s launch at the CLA Game Fair in 1998 many hundreds of people have successfully taken this award and proudly wear their gold Safe Shot pin on their shooting jackets, just as you will be able to do too!  Price on application. 

 Half day course includes: Intro to clay shooting and quarry identification, game tasting, field preparation of various game. Leave with the fresh game you have prepared and advice on how to cook it.

This full day course is weather dependent as it includes cooking your own game in the field and maybe even a bit of foraging! However we are flexible and the exact itinerary can be adjusted to your group requirements. Contact us to discuss.
